Making slow change visible
A data art practice working with public records and with the data organisations already hold. Abstract from across the room, exact up close. Currently drawing Estonia.

Organisations do not lack data. They lack a way of seeing it.
Most change is too slow to notice while it happens. A population shifts over eight centuries. A team adopts a tool over four quarters. A programme takes hold, or fails to, across two years of quiet signals. A dashboard shows you the last thirty days, which is rarely where the answer is.
This work sits in that gap. National records, open datasets, or the data your own organisation already holds. Drawn slowly, in a form that rewards a second look.
I am Arnaud Richter, Chief Digital Officer by day and data artist outside those hours.
Twenty years in data, most of them spent watching organisations collect more of it than they can see.
SILM studio is where I draw what a dashboard cannot show. Read the longer version.
